CHARACTER
ILLUSTRATION
THE PROCESS
Need some art of a cool character? Here's what you need to know.
The first step is to contact me with the specifics of what you're looking for. You'll get an e-mail back shortly with a price quote and turnaround time (unless more information is needed from you).
If everything sounds good, I’ll send you my standard contract. The contract specifies the parties involved, the scope of the project, agreed upon fees, specific dates, etc.
Read the contract, (and/or have your legal representation advise you,) sign and return it to me. Then send me a deposit of at least 50% of my fee. Once these are received, I’ll get to work.
WORK BEGINS
If you’re commissioning new art, you’ll get to see the sketch phase, and during that phase you can make 3 (three) rounds of revisions. A “round” of revisions is defined as as many revisions as you want to request, but made at the same time. So an email with twenty changes to the sketch is counted as one round of revisions.
Once 3 rounds of revisions are reached, further revisions are possible at my discretion, and may involve a further fee.
Like what you see? Approve the sketch and the real work begins!
THE FINAL ART PHASE
Once the project is completed, I’ll send you proofs of the art within the agreed-upon timeframe, and 1 (one) color revision is allowed. This means that the line art can’t be changed at this point, but the colors can.
Again, further revisions are possible at my discretion, and may involve a further fee.
Once the work is complete, you can send the balance remaining, and the finished high-resolution files will be sent to you.
Character design is one of the most important aspects of comic storytelling. Whether you're building a new superhero team, designing original characters for a pitch, or looking for custom illustrations for branding or merch, I provide professional character illustration services with strong linework, expressive faces, and bold, readable silhouettes.
As a freelance illustrator, I’ve worked on comics, graphic novels, marketing materials, and concept art. I specialize in developing characters from the ground up or refining existing concepts. My process begins with rough thumbnails and exploratory sketches, then progresses to fully polished, colored artwork that’s ready for presentation, print, or animation.
I work digitally using tools like Clip Studio Paint and Procreate, which allows for quick revisions and multiple style options. Whether your character is a grim antihero, a lovable creature, or a stylized mascot, I can bring them to life with clarity and visual punch.
If you’re a comic writer, publisher, game developer, or content creator in need of unique, professionally illustrated characters, I’d love to help. Let’s collaborate to create characters your audience will connect with.
